Internship Subheader

We are pleased to announce the inauguration of a curatorial internship made possible by a generous gift from the Lydia Childs Eskridge Foundation. The intern will work with the curator during the summer of 2010 to research and document pieces from among the Collection's 13,000 textiles and costumes. Applicants should have a strong background in textile history, experience working with objects in a museum setting, excellent writing ability, observational and analytical skills, and computer literacy. They should enjoy working independently. Preference will be given to those with expertise in Asia, the Islamic world, or Latin America. This full-time, 10-week position is open to graduate students and independent scholars and carries a stipend of $3,500. Please send a cover letter and resume detailing qualifications to Maya Lea at lea2@wisc.eDu by November 2, 2009.
